Purpose
A strategy that transforms public contracting into an opportunity to create innovative solutions to complex challenges that public entities have not been able to solve with traditional approaches. Through IPP, the public sector, companies, and the innovation ecosystem work together to build a more sustainable and intelligent city.
IPP fosters collaboration among actors in the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) ecosystem, opens new markets, and strengthens the region’s innovation fabric. Thanks to tools such as the IPP Guide and the IPP Test (the latter applies only to public entities within the Medellín Public Conglomerate), entities can better plan their processes, and suppliers can understand how to participate and propose high–public-value ideas focused on improving services for the citizens of Medellín.
What can you do?
- If you are a public entity: use the Guide to plan and execute innovation processes, and the Test to assess the level of readiness to implement innovation processes.
- If you are a company, university, entrepreneur, or startup: use the Guide to identify opportunities, apply technology scouting, propose competitive solutions, and engage with the public sector.
