The Mayor's Office of Medellín and Ruta N have opened a call for 300 women entrepreneurs, or women with an interest in entrepreneurship, from the District and the Aburrá Valley, over the age of 18. Participants will receive training in innovation during the months of October and November of this year. This training will provide them with the necessary tools to start or strengthen their ventures in the technology sector, through workshops, conferences, master classes and business visits.
The objective of the Mujeres Emprendiendo program is to encourage the empowerment of women to become innovative leaders in the technology sector and thus close the gender gaps in the science and technology sector.
The training will last two months in a hybrid format (virtual and face-to-face) and applies to businesses/startups at any stage of maturity.
The call will be open until Sunday, October 6, encouraging the participation of diverse women. A special call is made to Afro-Colombian women, victims of the conflict, migrant population, LGBTIQ+ population and women with differential capabilities to apply. This initiative seeks to motivate and encourage women from different contexts to be an active part in the construction of a more inclusive and equitable future.
