The Medellín District, Ruta N, and SAP, one of the world’s leading software providers for companies of all sizes and industries, have signed a strategic alliance aimed at boosting innovation and business development in the city and the region.
Carolina Londoño, Executive Director of Ruta N, highlighted that “this strategic alliance represents a unique opportunity for the more than 480 companies in Medellín and the digital talent within our ecosystem, providing them access to world-class resources and knowledge.”
Companies supported by Ruta N will have the chance to receive innovation mentorship through a program called the Startup Innovation Journey, designed to foster the growth and expansion of startups by providing access to SAP’s technology and market opportunities.
Marcela Perilla, President of SAP for the Northern Latin America and Caribbean Region, emphasized that “this alliance reflects our shared commitment to driving economic and social development through technology.”
Another pillar of this partnership is the open innovation initiative for companies, which will identify the technological and sustainable challenges of large corporations within the District. Additionally, Medellín’s digital talents will have the opportunity to participate in specialized training on SAP technology, software that collects and processes data from all company functions to facilitate interdepartmental communication, interpret information, and support decision-making.
