The Medellín Mayor’s Office has opened a call to train 150 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in digital transformation. This initiative aims to create awareness spaces for entrepreneurs and employees to understand how to apply technology effectively in their processes, connect MSMEs with the ecosystem's resources, and address their technological challenges.

The program includes a 24-hour bootcamp (16 hours in-person on Saturdays and 8 hours online). Participating entrepreneurs and employees will gain the necessary tools to give their businesses a digital focus, expanding their market opportunities. Additionally, they’ll have the chance to network and establish business partnerships to boost their companies.

“This is a theoretical and practical bootcamp, with clearly defined workshops to help companies see digital transformation in action within their organizations. We invite you to sign up and participate in this bootcamp designed for you to achieve digital transformation in your businesses,” said Jorge Mario Calvo, Executive Director of Ruta N.

The bootcamp is structured around key learning pillars:

  • Democratizing Knowledge: Creating spaces that provide agile, theoretical, and practical knowledge around science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship (STI+E).
  • Integrate and Create: MSMEs will apply learned knowledge to their business models, utilizing innovative and unique strategies to achieve digital transformation, reach new markets, and positively impact their economic outcomes.
  • Transfer and Connect: Offering intensive training on digital transformation topics, making it accessible and affordable for MSMEs in the District.

This program builds on previous bootcamps organized by the District in collaboration with Ruta N, which have aimed to provide training in various skills. This time, the goal is to strengthen 150 MSMEs in a theoretical-practical bootcamp that includes co-creation exercises and divergent thinking.

"We found it very exciting to participate in this digital transformation activity, especially in our marketing processes. We’re currently focused on advancing our gross marketing planning, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to pitch and access a bonus," said Ana Segura, co-founder of Ventus Technology, a company previously benefited from a Ruta N-supported bootcamp.

The Medellín Mayor’s Office remains committed to improving residents’ quality of life through programs and events that equip businesses with tools to grow and strengthen their presence in the city’s STI ecosystem.
