This initiative, supported by Ruta N and Medellín, aims to boost companies emerging from the only Special Science, Technology, and Innovation District in the country by connecting them with national and international markets.
This commercial event, held at the Forum Auditorium of the Pontifical Bolivarian University, expects over 1,000 attendees to drive business benefiting Medellín's STI ecosystem. Additionally, 20 tech-based companies will offer services in this segment to elevate other companies and startups to new levels in digital and technological terms. Some of these companies include Guane, Accelirate, Datask, Predictiva, Ionix, and Ecore.
In previous business roundtables supported by Ruta N’s Talent and Employability area, the goal has been to strengthen and promote the establishment of companies in the city, allowing them to connect with local companies, helping the latter grow and create quality jobs in Medellín.
Previous business roundtables supported by Ruta N left entrepreneurs thrilled.
Last year, there were two similar business roundtables. The first, held on September 21, included 26 buyers, 16 sellers, and 68 meetings to foster connections between companies. In total, 42 companies participated, 31 Colombian, with the rest from Argentina, Spain, the United States, and other countries.
The second roundtable took place on November 23, with 66 buyers and 31 sellers, resulting in 41 meetings to strengthen business and explore collaboration opportunities. This second round generated approximately $230 million pesos in estimated business.
About the Innova TDX Summit
Carlos Duque is one of the minds behind the Innova TDX Summit. In a conversation with us, he noted that time is the most valuable asset humans have. "Adding value means doing something different, in less time, and with a better experience for clients." He has led innovation processes at companies like Grupo Éxito and Natura, two of the largest companies in the country and region.
A video summary of the previous version of the Innova TDX Summit. 2022 marked its first edition.
Before explaining the Summit’s purpose, he made a statement that may sound controversial: “If they’re selling you a purely digital transformation event, they’re selling you smoke.” He quickly justified it, explaining that to achieve change in the digital world, it’s essential to also discuss innovation, customer experience, ecosystem connection, and, then, digital transformation. This is the comprehensive vision for true organizational change.
So, what’s the goal of the Innova TDX Summit? It’s to go beyond panels, discussions, and typical activities at such events. There will also be trade shows featuring organic networking and a business roundtable, operated by Ruta N, consisting of formal meetings with potential entrepreneurs interested in the most innovative ideas emerging from our District and the country.
Thus, the invitation is open for entrepreneurs from Medellín’s Science, Technology, and Innovation District to join this event as sellers or buyers, seeking business opportunities, growth, and quality of life improvements for the Aburrá Valley population.
