1,000 People Will Be Trained in New Technologies to Increase Their Opportunities for Quality Jobs

The Oracle Next Education (ONE) program, a partnership between Medellín’s Mayor’s Office and Oracle, aims to close the technology gap and provide job opportunities for women and young adults over 18. This initiative will enable 1,000 citizens to access virtual, free, and certified technology training, including live classes taught by industry professionals.

 

Key Program Details

Participants can enroll until March 27 for courses in:

  • Programming Logic
  • Front-End Development
  • Java
  • Soft Skills
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

The program runs for six months with a daily commitment of 3.5 hours, Monday through Friday.

“Today, we invite those interested in technology to take advantage of the 1,000 available spots. Participants will gain skills to advance in the IT industry,” said Iván Castaño, Executive Director of Ruta N.

 

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Have no prior experience in tech or systems development.
  • Own a computer with internet access.
  • Be available to study full-time.
  • Not be enrolled in another ONE course.

“This program includes a six-month free, digital training phase followed by an employability phase, where participants may secure jobs with Oracle’s partner companies,” explained Daniela Morales, Innovation Leader for Oracle Latin America.
