The event is organized by the District Administration, Ruta N, and the Medellín Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with ANDI del Futuro, Starter, and ACI.

Medellín will once again host Smart Capital on October 7 and 8, six years after its last edition. The event, organized by the District Administration, Ruta N, and the Medellín Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with ANDI del Futuro, Starter, and ACI, will bring together national and international investors and leaders to analyze the new Venture Capital landscape and foster connections among funds, companies, and financing and investment opportunities across Latin America. Its return comes at a strategic moment for the ecosystem, which has recorded USD 216 million invested in startups in the city so far in 2026.

The agenda will address topics including changes in the Venture Capital market, new scenarios for venture capital, liquidity alternatives, the role of public-private co-investment, among others.

The event will bring together investment family offices, corporations, and representatives from development banking and the public sector. It will also feature a matchmaking space connecting 20 investment funds with 35 selected startups, based on their investment theses, stage, and growth opportunities. Confirmed speakers include representatives from LAVCA, SoftBank, Bancóldex, Capria Ventures, L40, Confrapar, Alaya Capital, Fondo de Fondos México, CORFO, and Trefilia FO, among others.

Smart Capital is part of Medellín Venture Capital, a strategy led by Ruta N to mobilize smart capital and connect it with technology-based businesses in the city. Through this event, Medellín demonstrates its position as a hub for investment and smart capital in Latin America.
