82% of startups participating in Medellín Next 2025 reported sales growth after completing the program.

Seven technology-based companies from the first cohort of Medellín Next, a program led by Ruta N to accelerate high-impact startups, achieved significant milestones in business growth, international expansion, and national and international recognition. These results further strengthen Medellín’s position as a leading global ecosystem for innovation and technology entrepreneurship.

“Through Medellín Next, we continue strengthening business acceleration and scaling processes. We are very pleased because these companies have secured new investment and expansion opportunities, helping position Medellín as one of the most dynamic innovation ecosystems in Latin America,” said Carolina Londoño, CEO of Ruta N.

Among the standout cases is Somos Internet, which raised USD 40 million to accelerate its international expansion, entering the Mexican market while expanding its coverage across Colombia. Meanwhile, UCreditSkills received a financing proposal worth nearly USD 500,000 to strengthen its lending capacity within the country.

In the field of technological innovation, Innmetec was nominated for international recognitions such as DeepTech Pioneer 2026 and the Princess of Girona Award, thanks to its scientific and technological developments. Likewise, Padam Bienestar received the Don Juan del Corral Order of Merit – Gold Grade, awarded by the Medellín City Council, and earned international recognition at the World Food Innovation Awards 2026 in London.

Other notable companies include B2Chat, which participated in SaaStr Annual 2026 in the United States, considered one of the world’s most important Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) events, and Erco Energy, recognized by Endeavor as one of the highest-performing companies in terms of growth, scaling, and impact within its global entrepreneurship network. Also on the list is iData Global, which increased its sales by more than 100%, expanded operations into Panama and Argentina, and received an international award for excellence in the artificial intelligence and technology industry.

“Now that iData has more than 130 employees, 14 years of operations, and a presence in four different markets, we need to take the names of Medellín and iData to the world. Medellín is a brand associated with innovation, entrepreneurship, and the belief that great things are possible from here. We are part of Ruta N’s Medellín Next program, and serving as ambassadors of Medellín around the world is something through which we can support many other companies,” said Bayron Quintero, CEO of iData Global.

In a recent survey conducted among Medellín Next 2025 participants, 82% reported sales growth after completing the program, while 68% successfully expanded into new markets, cities, countries, or customer segments. Additionally, 38% created new jobs, and 71% established strategic partnerships with companies and key players within Medellín’s innovation ecosystem.

The performance achieved by these startups demonstrates the role of Ruta N and the District Administration in accelerating business growth and connecting companies with investment and international expansion opportunities. These results also reflect Medellín’s recent historic achievement in StartupBlink’s Global Startup Ecosystem Index, where the city ranked 130th worldwide for the first time, placing ahead of Rome (Italy), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Monterrey (Mexico), and Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates).
