Ruta N arrives at StartCo 2026 in Medellín, the largest startup showcase in Latin America

On April 16 and 17, Medellín will host StartCo, the largest live startup auction in Latin America. The event, to be held at Plaza Mayor, is projected to generate $18 million in business deals and will connect 350 companies with 80 international funds in an unprecedented edition.
More than 16,000 attendees from 25 countries are expected, along with the participation of 80 global investment funds. Additionally, the 30% increase in international startups highlights Medellín’s consolidation as a key setting for high-level networking.
Ruta N will lead strategic connection spaces, training, and access to capital, with the aim of strengthening the growth of tech ventures and positioning Medellín as a global hub for science, technology, and innovation.

The agenda will include interactive experiences, workshops, meetings with angel investors, and networking spaces with key ecosystem players. Technology-based startups linked to the organization’s programs will also take part, in an environment focused on market understanding and opportunity generation.
This event is supported by the Mayor’s Office of Medellín, Ruta N, and other ecosystem stakeholders. More than just an event, it stands as a barometer of the digital economy, where new businesses and large companies converge to project the country’s productivity outlook.
The seventh edition of StartCo arrives at a moment of maturity for the Colombian ecosystem, which is now positioned as the third most important hub in the region with 2,126 active startups. According to the Colombia Tech Report 2024–2025, the Fintech sector leads with 19%, followed by SaaS (11%) and Healthtech (6.9%), reflecting a specialization in high-complexity solutions.
