Ruta N opens a call for applications to train up to 500 investment agents from across the country
By Ruta N -Business families, corporations, and fund managers, among others, will be eligible to apply.
Ruta N has launched a call to train up to 500 investment agents from Medellín and across Colombia, an initiative aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the capital that drives Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) companies. The program is part of the Medellín Venture Capital strategy and will remain open until all spots are filled.
“With this program, we want more investors to make informed decisions that help our startups grow and expand globally. Training investment agents means strengthening the foundation that supports the District’s economic and social development”, said Santiago Henao, Director of STI Business Development at Ruta N.
The program is targeted at angel investors, business families, corporations, and prospective fund managers interested in joining the Venture Capital ecosystem.
Nos contaron que invertir en startups es cuestión de suerte. Y no.

Apostar es poner dinero y esperar. Invertir es entender dónde, cómo y con quién.
Por eso el talento y capital se entrenan para leer riesgos, acompañar equipos y pensar a largo plazo. 🌎🦾

The training will be delivered by the platform Lanchmon under a modular model, featuring 10 hours of flexible content (available on the platform according to users’ schedules) and an active license for up to 10 months. Participants will have access to networking spaces, specialized content, and reference tools. The proposal combines theory and practice to support informed decision-making in early-stage investment scenarios.
Participants will gain access to tools that will help them understand and streamline startup evaluation, structure investment theses, analyze risks, value emerging companies, and manage portfolios according to global standards.
To apply, interested individuals must complete the form available at rutanmedellin.org. Once registered, they will receive a confirmation email with credentials to access the digital platform where the training process will take place. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate and have the opportunity to join an active community of investors supporting the growth of local startups.
Through this program, the District continues to strengthen the STI ecosystem. Over the past year, Ruta N’s Venture Capital strategy delivered five specialized courses, including workshops, diploma programs, and bootcamps, training 200 investors and, in coordination with the University–Business–State Committee, raising awareness among more than 500 university students through talks and academic sessions.
