Medellín's commitment to advancing digital talent continues to gain momentum, with results that reflect citizens' growing interest in emerging technologies.
Thanks to the partnership between Ruta N, the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Medellín (C4IR Medellín), and Google, more than 6,300 people have begun their training in generative artificial intelligence (AI), helping strengthen the skills required for the ongoing digital transformation.
Of the total number of participants, nearly 2,000 have already earned at least one professional certification after completing more than 4,000 learning experiences, including 743 hands-on labs, 3,010 courses, and 345 learning paths. The most popular topics include the fundamentals of generative AI, chatbot development, applications that are transforming the workplace, generative AI agents, and the use of Gemini for data analysts and data scientists.
Collectively, participants in the Google Cloud Career Launchpad program have completed 5,678 hours of learning and accumulated more than 13,500 hours of study, demonstrating their commitment to developing new digital skills and embracing emerging technologies.
Through initiatives like this, Ruta N and C4IR Medellín continue to accelerate the District's economic and social development through science, technology, and innovation, creating greater opportunities for people to strengthen their skills and improve their quality of life.
