From October 20 to November 3, the public can vote for initiatives nominated for the second edition of Gen N and Reconocimientos Proyector 2026, an initiative led by Ruta N and the Medellín Mayor’s Office, through its Secretariat of Youth. The program aims to highlight young people and collectives between the ages of 14 and 28 who generate a positive impact in the city through innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity, and sustainability.
To participate, visit rutanmedellin.org, where more than 100 initiatives nominated this year are available. There, people can support the proposals that interest them across five categories: Gen Panas, Gen Ecos, Gen Crack, Gen Alpha, and Gen Next. Voting is open until November 3 to people of all ages, both in Medellín and throughout the rest of the country.
Once this stage concludes, a specialized jury will evaluate the initiatives and select the winners, who will be announced on November 26. Those selected will receive support in the form of mentoring, specialized guidance, training to advance their ideas, connections with Medellín’s innovation ecosystem, visibility opportunities, and technology vouchers.
Gen N and Reconocimientos Proyector 2026 offer an opportunity to discover Medellín’s young talent and support initiatives that inspire others, help create opportunities, and transform neighborhoods and rural districts across the District of Science, Technology and Innovation.
