Google, C4IR Medellín and Ruta N open 20.000 free spots for training in artificial intelligence
By Ruta N -The call is aimed at people over 18 years old living in Medellín and other municipalities in the metropolitan area.
The Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Medellín (C4IR Medellín), Ruta N, and Google have expanded their educational alliance with 20,000 new spots for the Google Cloud Career Launchpad program. This second phase of the initiative focuses exclusively on generative artificial intelligence (AI), a branch of AI capable of creating original content such as text, images, code, music, and video—enabling more people to train in one of the key technologies of the digital economy.
The training is aimed at individuals over 18 years old, living in Medellín and other municipalities in the metropolitan area, who want to develop skills ranging from fundamentals to practical applications.
“One of the greatest strengths of our ecosystem is the talent of our people. That’s why, with this new call, we continue to open opportunities for more individuals to prepare for the careers of tomorrow. It is a commitment to education that helps close social and economic gaps and enables more citizens to actively participate in Medellín’s transformation”, said Camilo Zapata Wills, Director of Strategic Relations at Ruta N.
The course combines theory and practice, lasts four months, and requires no prior knowledge. It is delivered virtually, allowing participants to progress at their own pace. The call is open from March 17 to March 27. Interested individuals can apply through rutanmedellin.org and, once the process is completed, will receive instructions to access the platform.
“These courses are not only for engineers or programmers, but for anyone who wants to learn about artificial intelligence. I had the opportunity to take some courses offered on the platform, which helped me understand that it is a very important tool for our daily tasks, our productivity, and making life easier”, said Angélica Madrigal, a beneficiary of the previous call.
Upon completing the course, participants will receive a Google digital badge certifying their learning, which they can add to their professional profiles. Last year, in the first edition of this alliance, 10,000 training licenses were awarded in areas such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
